The Deupree Community Meals on Wheels program offers clients the very finest in home meal delivery. The program is one of the few self-produced Meals on Wheels providers, meaning all meals are prepared on-site.
All meals include an entrée, vegetable, starch, dessert, salad, milk or juice, and a roll or bread product. The program offers diabetic, low-fat, and low-sodium meals in order to serve as many people as possible.
Compassion and sensitivity are key elements of this ministry, as the goal is to help people stay independent for as long as possible. And to ensure the most nutritional value, all menus are approved by dietitians from the Council on Aging in Southwestern Ohio.
The program operates Monday through Friday, delivering noon-time meals. Frozen meals for weekends, holidays, or when clients may not be home for delivery are available, in addition to "blizzard boxes"; a non-perishable meal for clients to consume during inclement weather.
