Meals on Wheels Volunteer Opportunities

MOW_Team.jpgPermanent and substitute volunteers are needed to deliver meals throughout the community. Deupree Meals on Wheels has been working in our community for 39 years, preparing and delivering close to 100,000 meals per year to residents who are not able to get out on their own. The meals are delivered Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 12:30 to communities on Cincinnati's east side, including Hyde Park, Oakley, Mt. Lookout, Fairfax, Madisonville, Mariemont, Terrace Park, Norwood, Evanston, Walnut Hills, Pleasant Ridge, and the East End.

In addition to the personal satisfaction gained from contributing your time to a needed and worthwhile cause in our community, Deupree volunteers also enjoy the following benefits:

  • New friendships with other volunteers and the residents we serve
  • A free meal on the days you volunteer
  • Recognition and volunteer/employee events
  • Free flu vaccines
  • Membership and reduced pricing at both the Deupree House Fitness Zone and the Integrative Care Center
  • Flexible scheduling according to your availability
  • A friendly and upbeat working environment

Volunteers must have their own vehicle and a valid driver's license. On average, volunteers work about 90 minutes a day. Orientation and training are provided. For more information or to join our team please contact Pati Payne, Meals on Wheels Dining Services Coordinator, at (513) 561-8150.
