Deupree Difference

All Meals-On-Wheels programs are not the same.

Here's what you can expect from Deupree Meals on Wheels:

• Our meals are prepared in our own kitchens and delivered hot each day.
• We never deliver frozen or TV style meals on weekdays unless requested.
• Our friendly drivers provide personal contact 5 days a week.
• We never leave meals without making contact with a customer, unless arrangements have been made in advance.
• If there is no answer at the door, we make a personal follow-up with designated emergency contacts.
• We re-deliver meals to clients if they are late arriving home after an appointment.
• We make adjustments to our delivery schedules depending on our customer needs, such as delivering weekend meals on Thursday when necessary.
• Our staff and volunteers, most of whom have been with us from 17 to 28 years, provide a familiar face for our customers on a regular basis.
• We always try to provide meals according to customer preferences, such as all vegetable meals or meals that have been pre-cut to make it easier for them.
• Portion sizes are larger than those required.
• We make special meals for our customers with allergies or other medical conditions.
• We take extraordinary measures when necessary to serve our customers, such as when we provided home-cooked meals during the 5-day power outage caused by the wind storm of 2008.
